My network infrastructure used to be Meraki and Cisco based. I had Cisco 8 port PoE switches, a MR26 access point and a Meraki MX64W (which replaced a Z1) at my core. Unfortunately the licensing structure of Meraki gets expensive so when the AP license expired, I made my first jump to Ubiquiti with their nanoHD AP.

As an prosumer I wanted to make sure I had similar features to my prior environment and Ubiquiti met almost every check box. They also had a line of PoE and non-PoE cameras that integrated into the networking infrastructure with an on-premise NVR.
